Difference between NSDL & UTI PAN Status
In India, two government-authorized bodies manage PAN applications: NSDL (Protean) and UTIITSL. The status check process depends on where you applied:
- NSDL: Requires your 15-digit Acknowledgement Number (Start with ‘N’ usually excluded).
- UTIITSL: Requires your Coupon Number or existing PAN Number.
